Approximately 50 minutes The miller loved to
brag about his work, his mill, and his daughter. And he stretched the
truth – a lot! It was harmless until one day the King’s Chamberlain over
hears the miller bragging to the King’s chef about his beautiful
daughter, “She cooks perfectly, she cleans wonderfully, she sews
exquisitely, why she could even spin straw into gold!” The King decides
he needs the services of this young lady and she is brought to the
Palace. Unbeknownst to the King, the daughter can’t really spin straw
into gold, she is desperate! Then a little man suddenly appears in the
room and agrees to help – for a price. Performed by CCT’s Professional
Touring Company and featuring audience participation.
