Introduce the Magic of Theatre to your family!

Bringing children to a live theatre performance is a gift. You not only stimulate their imagination, but you create memories that could last a lifetime. This season we are providing a wide variety of opportunities for those memories.

We are opening our season with a blockbuster, Junie B. Jones and a Little Monkey Business. Getting the rights to produce this show proved challenging, but we did it! And it’s only the beginning of the giggles and the fun. This December the theatre will be filled with laughter when we bring back one of the funniest holiday shows of all time, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. Our big spring show, The Sound of Music, is perhaps the most popular musical of all time.

Like a good dinner, we need a balanced menu. How about an adventure story? The Magician’s Nephew fit that bill. It’s another story from the “Chronicles of Narnia.”

Everybody loves a good fairy tale. The Emperor’s New Clothes and Rumplestiltskin are two of our favorites. We’ve also added a lovely African folktale set in Zimbabwe, Mufaro’s Beautiful Daughters.

I saved comments for one of the best for last. I’m sure you’ve never heard of this show. Neither had I before I read it. It’s called The Hobo and the Miracle. I read lots and lots of new scripts each year – authors who are submitting plays in hopes of being produced, but rarely am I touched. When I read “The Hobo” I laughed, I chuckled, I was surprised and amazed. After finishing the story I felt a warm shiver down my spine. Does that tell you enough? I will be directing this show in collaboration with the BalletMet Columbus Academy. That’s right, the show has music and dance – and it’s all tied into an astonishing story that I promise you will remember.

It is an honor to bring live theatre to children. We offer some of the best family entertainment in Central Ohio. If you haven’t been to our theatre, then you are missing something special… an intimate 175 seat theatre with actors merely feet away from the audience. We offer a professional product in a friendly surrounding. I invite you to join us as a subscriber this year. You can chose three shows, five, or have it all. One thing is certain, as a subscriber you will enjoy quality entertainment sitting in the best seats at the best prices.

See you at the theatre!
