the CCT Academy!
We have had such a wonderful year so far and have so much more
to look forward to in the coming months.
The CCT 2008 Summer andFallAcademiesconcluded
with our highest enrollment over the past five years, thanks to
all of you. We have offered quite a few new classes in each age
group and are constantly brainstorming new class ideas that will
help bring out the creativity and imagination in your child.

I’m so excited about some of the opportunities we have coming up
for your children, of which one in particular, I would like to
share with you!
TheCCTAcademyand
the Columbus YWCA will be partnering together during the Summer
of 2009 for a week long day camp unlike any other! Not only
will your child have the opportunity to attend one of CCT’s
wonderful day camps, but in an effort to make the most of your
time, the YWCA will be providing child care before and after the
camp each day.
This camp will be open to children ages 8-12 and will run from 9:00am
–3:00pmduring
the week of July 6-10, 2009with
drop-off beginning at 7:00am
and pick-up as late as 6:00pm.
Open enrollment will begin March 1, 2009 so be sure to watch

Space is limited so be sure to register quickly!
If your children love making friends and have a
flair for the dramatic, then this is the place for them!
Please take advantage of our wonderful programs and classes
and know that our main goal is to encourage your child to
explore his or her individual talent while promoting teamwork
and building self-confidence.

These classes are exciting, fast-paced, and FUN! In
just a few hours, our students will get to
know each other through games and theatre exercises, then they will
create a story, dialogue,
props, rehearse and perform their production for you when you come to
pick them up!
Spring into Seuss! (Ages 5-7)
We are trying something brand new this spring and you are invited to
join in the fun! Come and spend time with us as we explore the world of
Dr. Seuss and all of the adventures he writes about in his books in just
one day! You never know who you might run into: Cat in the Hat,
Sneetches on their Beaches, or maybe even the Lorax! Hungry for some
green eggs and ham? Ready for a wacky adventure with the Cat in the Hat?
Time to tickle your teeth with a Fox Socks tongue twister? Bring your
favorite Seuss books and we’ll act them out together.

learn songs, choreography, and dialogue that will tie everything

CLASS
is FULL Calling all aspiring young
actors! This beginning acting class will teach you the basics of what it
takes to become an actor. You’ll learn basic theatre terminology, what
goes into a production, how to build a scene and a character and how to
conquer stage fright. We’ll also discuss the audition process and the
difference between prepared auditions and cold readings. Everyone gets
to participate everyday!

Advanced Acting
For those students who have
completed our Beginning and Intermediate Acting classes, this is what
you’ve been working up to. This class will challenge you as an actor,
focusing on monologues and scenework as well as stage presence. You will
also look at improvisation as an important aspect of the theatre and a
tool that every actor should have in his/her arsenal.

Your child will learn the
