We have had such a wonderful year so far and have so much more
to look forward to in the coming months.
The CCT 2008 Summer andFallAcademiesconcluded
with our highest enrollment over the past five years, thanks to
all of you. We have offered quite a few new classes in each age
group and are constantly brainstorming new class ideas that will
help bring out the creativity and imagination in your child.

I’m so excited about some of the opportunities we have coming up
for your children, of which one in particular, I would like to
share with you!
TheCCTAcademyand
the Columbus YWCA will be partnering together during the Summer
of 2009 for a week long day camp unlike any other! Not only
will your child have the opportunity to attend one of CCT’s
wonderful day camps, but in an effort to make the most of your
time, the YWCA will be providing child care before and after the
camp each day.
This camp will be open to children ages 8-12 and will run from 9:00am
–3:00pmduring
the week of July 6-10, 2009with
drop-off beginning at 7:00am
and pick-up as late as 6:00pm.
Open enrollment will begin March 1, 2009 so be sure to watch

Space is limited so be sure to register quickly!
If your children love making friends and have a
flair for the dramatic, then this is the place for them!
Please take advantage of our wonderful programs and classes
and know that our main goal is to encourage your child to
explore his or her individual talent while promoting teamwork

WEATHER CANCELLATION POLICY
Inclement weather is not a cause for cancellation. As long as
the
teaching artist can make it to the class location the class will go
on.
Plan to leave home early, and please travel carefully. If the status
of a
class does change, the teaching artist will notify parents via
phone.
These classes are exciting, fast-paced, and FUN! In
just a few hours, our students will get to
know each other through games and theatre exercises, then they will
create a story, dialogue,
props, rehearse and perform their production for you when you come to
pick them up!

Calling all American Girls!
We’re going to explore the wonderful American Girls stories- on stage!
(Students are encouraged to bring their dolls.) Come and join us as we
travel with Molly, Addy, Kit, Felicity, Samantha, Kirsten, and Josephina
through time and explore when and how they lived. Not only will you be
entertained at the end of the day, but you just might learn something
too!

Beginning Acting
CLASS FULL Calling all aspiring young
actors! This beginning acting class will teach you the basics of what it
takes to become an actor. You’ll learn basic theatre terminology, what

difference between prepared auditions and cold readings. Everyone gets

The Actor’s Craft Series: Dialect Workshop
One of the most important keys
to being a professional actor is versatility, and mastering dialects is
one of those tools that it is beneficial and fun to have! Advanced
students will enjoy studying and working with a variety of accents and
regional dialects. We will explore the sounds, rhythms and intonation
patterns of these accents while working with text. A great class for the
young film, TV, and stage actors.
